Be Who You Want To Be
I’m nearly 15 and I have learnt a lot from my first 15 years
of my life. One of which is to be myself. It is easier said than done. I am
that kind of person who is strongly influenced by other people. When I am hanging
out with people I pretty much become that person. It can be good and bad, but I
makes it very difficult to become my true self and I still don’t know if I have
found my inner self and I am not the person I want to be. I try to make
differences in my life every day. I have this massive long list the size of my
arm of things that I am not happy with and what I need to change to become the
person I truly would like to be. Sometimes it is good to tick off 1 or 2 of
those things on your massive list every day or every week because sometimes I
think it isn’t getting any smaller, but it really is. Although I do keep adding
to it so I’m not quite sure if it is getting any smaller. Hehe. I don’t know if
this will make any sense to you guys, but it makes sense to me. If you guys want
to become who you really want to be, keep reading and hopefully, this will
help.
Worry
I can’t stress this enough but don’t worry about what people
think of you. This is definitely easier said than done but we need to remind
ourselves to not care about what people think of you. If people are putting you
down because they want you to be someone that you aren’t then they are just a
waste of a person. They are taking up the place of someone that will love and
accept you as you and they won’t want you to change. You don’t need to change
for anyone. You are perfect as you are and if people want you to change then
they are a horrible person. Ignore what everyone else is doing and achieving.
Your life is about breaking your very own limits and outgrowing yourself to
live your very own best life. You are not in competition with anyone else.
So, focus on pushing to undo your past, not other people.
Zoe Sugg and Mark Ferris made a video and I think it was their honest Q and A and they got asked a question and it was what is one thing that you would
change about the other and they both answered with nothing. That might sound
cliché, but it isn’t. If you asked your friend that very question I’m sure they
would have an answer that wasn’t 'nothing'. They might say nothing, but it is
very rare. Think about your friend and ask that
question to yourself. I’m sure you would have an answer. You might not say it
allowed but I’m sure you would have something that popped into your head. Zoe
and Marks friendship is a great one and I would love to have one as special as
theirs.
Being a girl who is growing up and living in the age of
social media and online bullies, but as a blogger who is part of this
competitive industry, there are many struggles of putting your whole life on
the internet for the world to see. I have struggled with judgement and just
hoping that people will accept me. I can understand and sympathise with anyone
who feels they’re not good enough and thinking that you won't ever be. It is human
nature to compare but all it does is set you back. It takes your eyes of your
goals. Sometimes we need to take a step back and realise that life shouldn’t be
such a scary thing and that we need to embrace our life because we only have 1.
Life isn’t a competition and we shouldn’t make it one.
